Culdaff Sea Angling Club.
We are a Sea Angling Club based in Culdaff, Inishowen, Co. Donegal, Ireland.
The Waters off Culdaff Bay, North Inishowen and surrounding areas have the best diversity of Marine Life that Ireland has to offer.
From the small plankton organisms that provide a lifeline to so many of our native marine species to the Largest fish in the sea - The Basking Shark which visit Inishowen waters every summer to gorge on this plankton, Culdaff Bay and the surrounding area is home to them all.
The main areas of our angling activities take place in Culdaff Bay, Kinnegoe Bay, Malin Head, Inishtrahull Sound and the numerous Ship Wrecks that are dotted all along the northern Inishowen coastline.
Our main target species include Pollock(Shellock), Coalfish(Gleasan), Gurnard, Cod, Haddock, Ling, Mackerel, Whiting, Tope Shark, Dogfish(Dallacks), Spurdog, Bull Huss, Ray, Wrasse, Pouting, Turbot, Plaice, Flounder, Poor Cod, Rockling, Herring and Scad.
Our aim is to improve our techniques and methods of catching all these abundant Inishowen Species while operating a catch and release policy, which is key to the preservation and conservation of this invaluable marine asset that Culdaff has to offer.
We operate both Boat and Beach/Shore competitions each year with prizes and the chance to fish in the Irish Master Angler up for grabs.
Culdaff Sea Angling Club is fully affiliated with the Irish Federation of Sea Anglers and the Angling Council of Ireland.
